Thrifty Thursday: CFL Light Bulbs

A couple of months ago we switched from using regular light bulbs to CFL light bulbs. This change alone has saved us $15 to $20 a month on our Xcel bill, and we still have the kitchen and porch light's to switch out. It didn't cost us that much to switch out, Costco had the light bulbs at a good price and then Xcel was offering an instant rebate bringing most of the bulbs to about $1 each. The flood lights were a bit more, but it did make a difference with how often our security lights over the garage come on. An easy change.
